Hope all of you had a fun and blessed summer week!
In the journey of self-discovery and spiritual development, understanding our worth and abilities is essential. It is this idea that is encapsulated in Swami’s quote, “Have faith in yourself. When you have no faith in the wave, how can you get faith in the ocean?” The quote, in its brevity, captures a profound truth about personal faith and the role it plays in shaping our lives. At its core, this quote emphasizes the importance of self-belief. A wave is a part of the ocean, inherently a part of it, not separate or divisible. In the same vein, we are parts of the vast cosmos of divinity, interconnected and crucial. This comparison illuminates the necessity of having faith in oneself, as failing to believe in one’s own potential hinders the recognition of the larger source of divinity that we are all part of. In breaking down this metaphor, consider the wave as an individual – you or me, and the ocean as the broader expanse of God filling in the universe. If you lack belief in your inherent divinity, how can you genuinely trust or understand the limitless potential of divinity? In other words, recognizing our individual worth is the first step in appreciating the collective power and potential of divinity.
Center Last Summer Devotional Satsang & Bhajans will be at Sister Sahiti Vedantam's residence (Summer Bhajans Venue) this Sunday Aug 06th 2023 from 10am onwards. See below in devotional session for more details.
