A Warm and Loving Sai Ram Dear Members,

Hope you all had a divine and wonderful week! Happy Avatar Declaration Day to one and all!!

Last Saturday Oct 14th we celebrated special Dussehra bhajans @ Sister Varsha & Brother Ravindra’s residence, we all had blissful bhajan offerings and chanting “Durga Suktam” to our dear Sai Mata, we thank the hosts and pray our dear lord to bless us all.

We also had SSSE classes on Sunday Oct 15th @ Claude Moore.

This Sunday, October 22nd, we will be celebrating Bhagawan’s Avatar Declaration Day @ Claude moore starting at 10am (For more details check Devotional and SSSE Sessions), we shall be offering musical songs and bhajans by all members (SSSE Kids, YAs and Adults).

Please practice your submitted bhajans.

Reminder to all SSSE parents to make note of timings above, as we will have Bhagawan’s Avatar Declaration Day celebrations at center and all SSSE kids will participate in these celebrations.

With Swami’s grace, Sri Sathya Sai Loudoun Center and Sri Sathya Sai South Bethesda Center is partnering with Vienna Seventh-day Adventist Church to organize Sai Medical Camp on Saturday, November 4th, 2023, from 1-4 pm at Vienna Seventh-day Adventist Church 344 Courthouse Road, SW Vienna, VA 22180. As part of Sai Medical Camp we will be serving Lunch at 12:00 pm.

Young Adults Updates

3 important announcements related to our National Sai YA program.

Selection of Female National Young Adult Coordinator

First, please join us in offering our sincere thanks and good wishes to Meghana Iragavarapu, our outgoing Female National Young Adult Coordinator. Meghana was instrumental in organizing the 2023 National YA mini-retreat and, more importantly, is an inspiration through her commitment to Swami's teachings while always carrying herself with the energy and enthusiasm emblematic of a Sai Young Adult. We will miss her dearly as she steps away from her national officer role to dedicate her full attention to graduate school, but truly appreciate her efforts and talents which have enriched – and will continue to enrich – the Sai YA community.

On that note, we have begun the process to select a new female national YA coordinator. Using this link (Click Here), please submit your nominations by October 20, 2023 (self-nominations accepted). The minimum requirements are: (1) commitment to Swami’s teachings in one’s personal life; (2) interest and ability in growing a Sai YA program aligned with the vision of the SSSGC; and (3) currently a Sai YA between the ages of 18 and 35. A prior role as a coordinator or officer in a Sai organization is definitely a plus, though not required. Similarly, while regular attendance at a Sai center is helpful in this role, we understand that numerous factors (e.g., geography, school/work/family commitments, etc.) which affect local center attendance may not be a barrier to serving in a national or regional YA leadership role.
Selection of National Young Adult Deputy Coordinator

We are also excited to announce the creation of 2 new positions as National YA Deputy Coordinators. As these are new roles, the responsibilities are still fluid. Generally speaking, the deputy coordinators will assist the national coordinators/advisors in coordinating and implementing the YA program as members of the National YA team. The same minimum qualifications and requirements apply as for the national YA coordinator roles. SSSGC's Regional, National and Zonal Updates

SSSGC (USA) – Region 2 Updates:

Attached is an invite and information on the Christmas Program in Prasanthi Nilayam from SSSGC Zone1. There are a lot of opportunities for members, including kids and young adults to get involved. Note the key dates when interest to participate has to be submitted and when participants need to be in Prasanthi Nilayam.
